Humans are 'naturally nice' - Americas - Al Jazeera English

I post this quickly with a few thoughts; as someone that studied martial arts from a doctor, and proceeded to learn therapeutic massage, tui na and acupressure, I know how hard it is to learn to kill a man. You rarely ever get to beat the shit out of someone, I know, I have been loutish now and then and generally people avoid confrontation. It is natural because the risk versus reward is not in the favor of any participant. The lack of favorable odds on both parts means that the aggressor is not being logical.

Now I consider....did I learn to love my mom and dad? Did it take lessons? Degrees? Belts?

It has taken thousands of years to train armed men that want to kill, to run at danger and attack it. In our nation less than 2% of the population has even served in the military, it is hard to imagine that it is much larger a number that has served as an armed agent of the government in some form. So, this shows the relatively low level at which our population (for it's size) has people even taking the job of being violent, when it happens....the rest of us support the structure, that trains humans to destroy other humans. It is such a difficult task that billions are required, secrecy, inexplicable uses of arms by the State here and abroad....a broad state and sense of insecurity and paranoia that is poisonous to the natural, logical state of human groups....
