I think Masamune Shirow saw it all coming quite clearly. Japan is so difficult for Americans because of the lack of knowledge of how are ties are......tied in....that reads all wrong, the nature of our relationship. Japan got some form of autonomy in the national ethnic way from us as long as they are forever our turret and deep water dock in the East. This is hard to keep feasible and this is making it look like something has got to give soon.
