Captain Capitalism: The Economy Is Building a Resistance to Keynesiani...: Like bacteria can build up a resistance to antibiotics, or an alcoholic can build up his tolerance for alcohol, so too can an economy build ...

I was searching here and there for why the Daily Emerald article about salaries for professors being too low smelled like shit to me. Well, the above article by Aaron Clarey actually does explain this a bit, if these professors were being payed at private universities they would know they were getting what the customer can afford. At public institutions there are many people that have become stinking rich for taking little to no risk in the market like the average business owner.  In Eugene, Oregon making 70-90k is stinking rich,  that's all, most food service workers at the most prestigious places in town are also using the EBT card to eat, or living on the company's stores. Someone informed me that what is happening here with the University of Oregon in Eugene is what happened to Temple University in Philly....soon it won't be worth it.  The student housing boom will not pop, it will just deflate and they will be infamous housing projects, the funding for the school will collapse with the bond market as China continues to slow and has to reset it's currency.  Well, the good thing will be.....it will be fascinating to see how we 'maintain' all this bullshit that's been built 'for the students (read CHILDREN)'....jobs are for adults, communities are for families, the endless school year are for children.
